About traveling

Wanna hear one funny thing about traveling?

It never goes as planned.

It requires organization, logistics, geographical knowledge, literacy and overall: patience.

A LOT OF THINGS CAN GO WRONG.

You can forget something. Your battery dies. You miss your flight. Your flight is delayed. Airport sandwich costs eight euro. You fall asleep during your transfer time and miss your next flight (guilty).

IT IS STRESSFUL.

Yet people travel.

We still dare to put our life in an eight-kilo carry-on and move on. We don’t shower. We don’t sleep.

We lose the track of time, of our parents, friends. We forget where we are.

„Can I have one ticket for Stockholm, please?“

-You are in Stockholm.

„Oh…then I meant Helsinki.“

-This is an airport shuttle. It doesn’t go there.

„Oh oops, actually I just wanted to ask you how to get from one airport to the other. Sorry, I am very tired…“

Yet we travel. Why?

BECAUSE IT IS WORTH IT.

It is your own chance for a new life.

With every flight, with every bus-ride, with every passport control – you are starting from zero.

You are learning how to read, how to speak, how to use kitchenware. How to think. How to love. How to exist. What to believe in.

Traveling is the best teacher life could give you.

It scars you. It damages you. It changes you completely. It gives you life. It is you against life as you know it.

It is you against time. It is you against everyone else who says you should calm down and slow your pace (but they secretly wish that could do it too yet they lack the courage and will).

IT IS YOU AGAINST YOU.

Yet you will do it.

Because travel bug is like life itself – once you get it, you are stuck with it for the rest of your time 🙂
